Students in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and other health fields from NYC colleges and universities join us most semesters and help to lead exercise, art, all types of memory activities, discussion groups, and more. We are always grateful to have them join us.
of experience working in mental health supporting people affected by depression, anxiety, and other challenges prior to earning her master's degree. In her spare time, Audrey loves teaching contract bridge, painting, creative writing, vegetarian cooking, and classic films. She is excited to lead the New York Memory Center in its mission to deliver the highest quality of life and care for people affected by dementia and their caregivers!
Executive Director Audrey Swanson, LMSW graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2012 focusing on aging and nonprofit leadership. She has worked for twelve years in programs supporting the most vulnerable older New Yorkers and their families, including as the Director of the Adult Day Program for Memory Loss at the RSS Center for Ageless Living in Riverdale, Bronx (2015-2024), as well as the Director of the Bronx Jewish Community Council's NORC program in the NYCHA Pelham Parkway Houses (2012-2015).
